So, i was catching up with Lost Season 3, and can i just add what the fuck? i mean i'm an open minded person and everything but the past two episode have been horse shit! that program is going to down the drain and i don't think they can drag it on for another season! I still can't begin to understand how anyone can think that program is better then Prison Break!
Plus, i've got my Science coursework to do, so i'm gonna need your help on this:

I'm a fan of LOST but I definitley don't think it's better than PB. PB will always be my favorite.
I think that smoking should be allowed in public areas as long as they have special sections for it. For example, in restaurants they have smoker and non-smoker areas. I think thats in the best intertest for everyone. Pesonally, I'm not a "cigarette smoker yet smoking has never bothered me but I know that there are people who it can effect so that why I chose to have "areas" for it. The only problem with allowing that is employees that may have a medical condition such as asthma will be subject to second hand smoke. However, if thats the case, then they shouldn't be assigned to work in those areas.
yeah man, i think Lost is cool too! But Season 3 has just been complete crap! Specially the last two episodes! I see no direction, it's going on!

The answer to your riddle is either a man (he has 2 heads, get it? LOL) or maybe an hourglass cuz obviously the sand flows faster when it stands still and its identical on both sides. I'm just guessing, I really dunno.

Ya I know what you're saying about LOST, it's like the more you watch it, the more lost you get. Once you begin forming theories, all of a sudden something will happen to screw it up and you find yourself at the beginning again. But in a way I think thats the genius of the show. Theres so much mystery and I really want to know how it ends. Also, I've sort of gotten attatched to the characters, because LOST has a way of getting really "personal" with them. Its still not like Prison Break though. I feel like I have a connection with the PB characters, its crazy. When they began to kill them off, I began to sort of mourn them. I forget that its just a show, lol. O man, if and when they kill off Tbag<3, its gonna hit me hard. (I'm fucked). LOLOLOL

Alright..the banning of smoking. *sigh*
This year starting Jan. 1 you cannot smoke like anywhere in Ohio. I think it's good. I think that b/c smoke does bother me. I have severe chronic asthma and smoke sets me off wheezing like an old man and I immediately need to get home to do the breathing machine and my inhaler...I can only puff twice so my heart rate doesn't overload...but yea, I don't think it's a bad idea. I kind of like being able to go out to eat and not feel like I'm being suffocated in the process...

Tricia - Yeah, i've always liked Lost, when it first started I was proper addicted to it (obiviously not as much as PB) but I think because it was such a big hit, abc wanted to have more seasons and so now the writers have to add more things and it's just as if these past couple of episodes are just fillers and fillers and fillers! lol, specially the one about Desmond, i think that was just long! but i'm still gonna end up watching it, hehe!
Oh and yeah, I TOTALLY LOVE Harry Potter, I pre ordered the 6th one but i was sleeping when it was gonna be delivered so i had to go into town to pick it up anyway. So for the 7th am gonna go to town at midnight and buy it as soon as the doors open, lol! 'coz all book shops are gonna open at 00:01 especially! hehe, i'm such a dork, lol! I can't wait for it! I hope Harry doesn't die!! and i'm almost definatly gonna end up crying at the end, lol. When dumbledore died, I could stop crying! lol!!

Zee: OMG I do the same thing too! I pre-order my Harry Potter books and I go there at midnight when the truck comes to pick it up! We're such dorks, haha. I cried when Dumbledore died too. For that whole week after reading that I felt like I was suffering from emotional damage. I really hope Harry doesn't die either. And I'm dying to find out if Snape is really good or bad. He happens to be one of my favorite characters b/c of all the mystery that surrounds him.

Well looks like I'm late on the discussion but here's what I think:
I think that smoking should be banned in public places because not everybody is a smoker and those of us who aren't have to suffer the consequences. I think smoking should only should only be allowed in certain places so that us non-smokers can choose to avoid them and not have to just take it everywhere we go.

You think you got it figured out and then the writers throw a curve ball at you and your confused. I love Harry Potter as well!! but not as much Tricia and Zee i guess. Smoking issue, well when I was 16 years old I worked in a bingo hall for 2 years and inhaled all that second hand smoke, I don't imagine it was good for me but I don't asthma so it didn't really bother me medically but I hated the way I smelled when I left work its really disgusting habit I think, and personally when I'm eating I don't want someone liting one up.. as for bars and bingo places I think its ok cuz its like your socializing but I know someone could argue the issue that eating in a restaurant is socializing too but I see it differently i guess

When he killed Dumbledore, i completely HATED the guy and totally thought he was evil but now i've started to consider that, that was part of some elaborate plan! I guess will just have to wait and see!

Now about that smoking issue, if you completely banned smoking in public places then that would only benefit the non-smokers. But what about the smokers? It's easy to say that they don't have to smoke, they "chose" to, but try putting yourself in their shoes. Smoking is like an addiction, and for some people it's hella hard to quit. For example, my friends dad has been smoking since he was in his teens. He's in his mid 40's now and he tried to quit. Guess what happened? He had a heart attack. He can't quit b/c his body craves the nicotine so badly. So now he has to smoke less and less over an extended period of time till he completely stops. My point is that we're human and humans make mistakes. So taking a look at this from every perspective, by having "sections" for the smokers, it benefits everyone. The non-smokers to have to come into any contact with it and the smokers still get to smoke. Using Jeremy Benthams utilitarianism theory (aka the greatest happiness principle) "a good society is one that benefits the most amount of people". Just to let you know, I'm not trying to debate AT ALL. I 'm just playing devils advocate, hehe. I was an open minded person to begin with but I owe a huge thanks to my philosophy teacher who would always question every little thing I said and get me looking at a situation from every possible side.
Now moving on to Harry Potter...omg! thats sooo cool Michelle likes it too, yay! Seriously the movies are good and I love them but they don't do the books justice. The books are like seriously INCREDIBLE. Ya, I was pissed at Snape too when he killed Dumbledore. But I'm still not convinced he's the bad guy. I've read so many theories about it on the internet, I don't know what to think anymore. I guess we'll just have to wait till the book comes out, yay!

Tricia: I agree 100% with you about the whole trying to quit shit... kuz I'm a hardcore smoker and when I tell non-smokers that it's really hard to quit... they're like yeah whatever... but I've also been smoking since my early teens... and the only time I get sick from it is when I'm pregnant.
But, also with the whole banning smoking indoors... that's koo too kuz I can't stand smoking inside anywhere, house, bar, club, casino... whatever. I like smoking, but I can't stand the stench. Here in WA... they've banned smoking pretty much everywhere... you have to go at least 50 ft from an entrance of a building to smoke. The only places that allow smoking indoors are the Indian Tribe casinos... other than that... everything from bars to restaurants... you have to smoke outside.
I respect non-smokers but I don't like the ones who stand there and try to tell you to quit! I blow smoke in them bitches faces... haha!

About the smoking thing, i did write that if possible they should have their own area - but then you need to consider the situation with the workers and stuff! i had an hour to write it up today in class and i was totally just shitting around thinking i got all the time in the world and two minutes to the bell and i hadn't even wrote my conclusion, haha! lol! so i quick time rushed it and i got it all filled in! yay! :)
It's sooo true that the movies don't do the books justice! I mean, i like them but my expectations just never get filled! the fourth one was like wtf? there were so many differences between that and the book! and the whole thing with dumbledore literally trying to strangle harry when he finds out his name has been put into the goblet, what the hell is that about? :S dumbledore is supposed to be a nice, calm character! i think the old dumbledore was soo much more nicer - bless his cotton socks! :)

They're just so damn big, they scare me. I'm a pretty slow english reader it would take me a million years to finish a book. I could buy the books in spanish but then again that ruins it for me because a lot of shit is lost in translation.

Over here, since the Harry Potter series are so popular, once someone is done reading the book, they go an spread the words as to what happens. And before you know it, even the people that haven't read the books know all about what happened in them. I think it's right to ban smoking from trains, planes and other public means of transportations but I think it's necessary to think about smokers too. I'm a smoker, I don't smoke too much, but when I go in a pub, I can't smoke and there aren't special lounges where smokers can sit, drink something and smoke. It's a serious problem here, clubs, pubs and bars have decreased the number of customers.
Wendy - I don't know anything anout the spanish translation but the first few book aren't that big, they're fairly ok. If you for around 15 mins a day, you'll get it done! trust me, it'll be worth it! just get your glasses screwed properly before hand! :)
Tricia - Yeah, the movies are wikid, i totally get all happy when i heard the theme aswel! especailly in the cinema, i always go to watch the movie with my mate the day it's released, i book like a week ahead and then i go again with my brothers and sister and then i go again with some other mates!
